Yes, the Host can cancel for any reason within 48 hours of the booking request when your samples don't meet incoming sample QC; if your sample is late; if you have track record of submitting low-quality samples.

5. Can I request a test run to optimize the molarity and loading of my sample pool?

Yes, we recommend that you book one of the MiSeq inastruments.

3. Prepare and Send Your Samples

Print your shipping label or drop off your samples. Track everything within the app via Slack, Chat, SMS or Email.

We’ve got shipping covered with our printable barcodes, just make sure the samples are shipped within the required timeframe relative to your booking date. We’ll track your samples all the way to the moment you download your data.

Common Questions and Answers

1. How are samples submitted/sent?

Use the sample submission tool during the booking process and select the shipping option. You can choose a pre-paid shipping label or enter your tracking number if you already have a shipping agent.

2. Do you only accept prepared libraries?

Yes, however we expect to be adding this feature in the near future. Drop us a line at support@meenta.io if you would like to be informed when it becomes available.

3. Do I have to perform any QC on my samples?

Yes, the Host designates its sample submission criteria in its site profile. These will be visible to you as the User during your sample submission process. A Host may also elect to accept your samples “at risk” which would not be covered by the Meenta rerun guarantee.

4. When do I ship my samples?

For Instant Booking and Booking Request all samples must arrive at least 2 business days prior to the booking date. Also, the Sample Tracking tool in your account will show you your sample's required ship date. You can also click here to review Sample Submission deadlines.

5. Do I have to pool my samples?

Yes, all samples must be pooled and ready to sequence.

6. Can someone help me determine the best NGS approach for my samples?

Yes. Since experiment design is specific to each lab and research project, you can consult with Hosts within the Messenger feature in your online account.

7. Will the Host perform pooling?

No, the Host will only accept pooled samples. In rare occasions, the Host can make an exception.

8. Can I get advice about how to perform QC on my samples?

Yes, but you have to be registered as a User and make inquiries through the Messenger feature in your online account.

9. What is the minimum sample molarity/sample volume requirement for sequencing?

The Hosts designate these requirements in their site profile which will be visible to you during the sample submission process.

10. Do you offer QPCR quant services for my library samples?

No, we do not. At this time we only accept prepped and quantitated libraries.

11. When will the Host run my samples?

For both Instant Booking and Booking Request, the Host must start your run within the Instrument Run window for your booking.

12. Do you offer QC services for my library samples?

No, we do not, but we can direct you to the Host that can do it for you. You can also ask the Host directly using the Messenger feature within your online account during the booking or checkout process.

13. What happens if there is a sample failure?

You should call us. In most cases, we will rerun the sample. We will want to review the incoming sample quality metrics and data deliverables.

14. My samples require a Custom Read Length. Will you accept my samples for sequencing?

The Host designates whether it accepts custom read lengths or not. Just search for the read length you need and our Search tool will populate all the Hosts matching your read length.

15. Can I get my samples back?

Yes, you can do so by messaging the Host within the Messenger feature in your online account. When requesting samples back, the User is responsible for the shipping costs.

16. My libraries require a Custom Primer. Will you accept my samples for sequencing?

Yes. The Host has to designate this capability in its profile. Just search for Custom Primer and our Search tool will populate all the matching Hosts.

17. Do you accept Methyl-Seq and RRBS samples for sequencing?

Yes. We suggest checking the minimum read return with the Host first, as the value is dependent on the instrument's chemistry and flow cell.

Late Submission

Users' timely sample delivery prevents any run delays and allows other samples schedule for the same run to be completed on time. Similarly, host's timely data delivery allows users to complete their projects within deadlines. Users may be charged a 1% fee if their sample arrives consistently late, or if it is submitted in less than 2 business days prior to the start date of the istrument run. Why a fee? The Host will have to reschedule your sample and potentially delay another User's samples.

Cancelation Policy

Both User and Host can cancel an order within the first 48 hours of booking without penalties. If you cancel the order after the initial 48 hours, you will then be allowed to cancel only 3 orders every 6 months. If you cancel more than 3 bookings, your account might be deactivated.

Late Data Delivery

Hosts may be charged a 1% fee if they consistently miss their data delivery date, which is usually 8-10 days from the Instrument Run Window.

* Time is estimated and exact time can change depending on the sample quality, instrument failures or other factors.
